The role of a Biologist-Nutritionist
A Biologist-Nutritionist has the necessary knowledge to evaluate nutritional and energetic needs by developing a food plan and working in the field of food education and collective catering. In autonomy, they can suggest and elaborate diets, nutritional counseling and prescribe food supplements whilst evaluating the pharmacological therapies already in use. They cannot diagnose diseases, however if there is suspicion of one they will invite the patient to seek medical attention.
When to choose a biologist-nutritionist
• If you want to adjust your diet and become aware of the value of
proper nutrition, in all phases of life: childhood, adolescence, adulthood and in old age.
• If you want to learn how to follow a healthy and balanced lifestyle, using food as an ally.
• If you practice sports and want to improve your athletic performances through correct and effective nutrition.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY
Physical activity is capable of inducing a multitude of positive effects on our body and mind. It affects the cardiovascular system as well as numerous endocrine and metabolic functions such as lowering blood pressure, controlling blood sugar level and blood cholesterol; it prevents metabolic, neoplastic diseases and arthrosis, reduces adipose tissue and improves tissue oxygenation. It allows the release of endogenous endorphins, reduces stress, improve night sleep and tones the muscles by increasing the body's metabolic capacity. It improves the musculoskeletal system by reducing the risk of falls in the elderly. In fact, there are recommended levels of physical activity for each age group.
Along with a specific diet I always recommend physical activity performed adequately and effectively to be able to achieve any goal.
